i have bought a switch it has three connections in the back they are live1 live 2 common how do i wire it to work please

If you have 2 wires (red and black with a red band) put the red in COM and the black with a band in L1 (or L2 if you want the light on when the switch is in the other position).

If you have 3 wires (red yellow and blue) wire them the same as they are in the other switch which controls the same light.
