how do i renew the kingpins on a 1987 daf roadrunner

take top cap off, remove lower steering arm with thrust bearing,and [with support under axle] you should be able to knock pin out -downwards. not sure if they need to be reamed,but if they do you will get it done at a local engineering shop.shims for adjusting excess lift are under thrust bearing.
