PS. Also, simply disconnecting the mains power and reconnecting it can occasionally reset the box suffciently & restore normal operation.

You could try that first before carrying out a complete software update as described below.

Try this ....

1) Hold down the "backup" button on the receiver box.
2) While holding it down disconnect then reconnect the mains power.
3) Do not release backup button yet. Wait about 30 seconds and all 4 front panel lights will light on the receiver.
4) Only then do you release the back-up button.
5) Message dispalyed on screen ... Software update wait 10 mins.
6) After 10 mins receiver returns to standby.
7) Wait 1 minute.
8) Switch receiver out of standby with remote control.
9) Receiver will display..searching for listings.
10) When completed you may find the problem fixed.
