Oil boiler runs, cuts out and doesn't restart ?

Oil boiler starts, runs for about an hour, cuts out and has to be started manually

Most common reason for oil boilers cutting out and not restarting are oil filters starving them of oil and if you check this and find plenty of oil at burner then try the coils as when they start to break down they work until they warm up then cut out and you have to reset manually.

Hi.

I have the same problem, except that it only runs for a few *minutes* before I have to re-start it manually. I can see a lot of air in the inlet tube. It's a Wallstar oil boiler.

Very grateful for any advice - thanks.
