how can i open the boot on my vauxhall vectra?

my car has central locking,the doors unlock fine,but the boot will not unlock.
it is a p reg

Is the key slot in the bootlock straight up and down?
If it is the boot will not unlock with the central locking, as an extra security measure.
Put the key in the bootlock, turn it until the slot is horizontal then remove the key. It will now work with the central locking.
