Adjusting Spray Nozzle on the detergent applicator?

I have received as a Christmas gift a McCulloch High Pressure Jet Washer Model: FH180A

I understand I am NOT to attach the applicator to #9 Spray Wand or #10 Wand Extension but to attached it to theTriger Gun #11. There is not much pressure coming out.

To adjust to 0o to 30o degress I should be able to turn the end of the applicator. This does not move. Should the indent at the end be pushed in by a screwdriver?
