I have a three person couch. In the middle on the very bottom is a broken bar of wood. When people go to set on the couch it sinks in the middle. The wood is broken into two pieces. How can I fix this?

Replace the piece of wood. Now this is usually more complicated than it sounds, because springs are usually attached to them. But if you are handy, you can go to the lumber yard and get a replacement piece of wood (usually hardwood), and try to replace it. Or if the couch is old, it might be time for a new one.
