one of my car doors won't lock on the central locking?

I have a 1998 S Reg Renault Laguna 1.6i RT Sport and when i use the remote central locking inside the vehicle to lock the doors the rear left ( nearside) passenger door doesn't lock
Just wondering what the problem is,is it a problem with the door mechanism.

There is a lock actuator for each door. By aging, sometimes this actuators can be dis-functional. The only solution to this problem is changing the malfunctioning lock actuator. By the way, they are so cheap ;) aprx 15$ each one.
