Chaffoteaux Britany Combi Boiler?

When opening the hot taps the boilers fires up but no hot water comes out. I've noticed that whilst the taps are open the rads begin to get warm. If you open and close the taps a number of times the problem rectifies itself. what is the most likely cause of the problem?

diverter valve should be around £120 for part, good luck

The diverter valve may be sticking in the central heating position - repeated hot tap cycling eventually overcomes the stickyness and the water is pumped correctly.

Pure guesswork based on this diagram...
