The motor on the above model which is 5 years old is making a pulsating noise and the dishes are not getting clean because the top arm is not spinning(it is not blocked). Also the door keeps flying open.What is causing this please?
If the motor needs replacing is it cheaper to buy a new machine?

When the pump starts pulsating it usually is caused due to lack of water. Check for blockages in hoses to sump area.
