DVD stuck in Philips DVDR610?

My DVDR610 has got stuck in a loop, it just goes from startup to swithing itself off continuously. There is a dvd stuck inside and I cannot get it out - the dvd is of a sensitive nature so i do not want to send the machine to the manufacturer with it stuck inside! Is there any way I can open the drawer?

if you remove the top held with three screws at the rear and two at the sides and look inside, you will see the dvd assembly, remove the screws that hold it in,once removed look at the front you will see a hole in the middle just below where the dvd goes in,push a small pin in and the draw will release.

A) turn the dvd off and hold it upside down i know it sounds daft but try it,
B) unscrew the box, take your time, undo the 4 screws,on top of the dvd lens, take out the disc and replace everything. with most dvds theres a plastic covering over the lens box, just take
1 side off, dont lose the screws, good luck..
