Caravan Leisure Batteries?

Could you advise please whether the characteristics of the PMS1 system in my 1992 Bessacar caravan are acceptable for current technology of ~ 125/130 Ah leisure battery for driving a Caravan Motor Mover where the Truma manufacturers report possible peak current demands of 120 amps? If this is not possible can a modern design of a Battery Charger be wired into the circuit or used to bypass the 1992 charger?

Put another battery in parallel with the fitted one. You should be able to drill through the battery box to allow wires to be fed inside the caravan. You can then fit a battery box inside the van to take the new battery. This will deal with the short term high current demand from the motor mover.
