Having a problem with Bosch HBC84K550B combi microwave model Nov 2005 purchased and saw arcing prior to door iner glass shattering when open from a 2 minute 600W cycle. Replaced inner glass now E8 error appears if used. The handbook quotes to press start again, fault continues E8 = call engineer, but why?
Any idea how to fix this?

I have the exact same problem with my HBC84K550B.

After a min. 900W cycle the inner glass broke into million peaces.
Why? And where can I get a spare glass?
Isnt that a product failure?

Hi, if my memory serves E8 is is a power fault, I will stand corrected. If this is the case, (and at this moment I am not sure) the machine has an Inverter power supply, and that means you have a panasonic in Bosch clothing. Not unusual.
