my daughter left her ds in the garden and it was spitting rain for about 2 hours on it and now it wont work, what can i do to fix it?

I left my DS in the rain when I was 8.What I did was I took my DS to the gamestop near my house and asked for a battery.So that's really all you have to do.OR you could leave it in the charger for 1 or 2 days and let it sit.

leave it on the charger for like 48 hrs and ur battery might feel hot but nthing is wrong when u take it off let it cool then turn it on it worked for my ds and cell phone

i did the same thing with my ds and the problem is the battery probably burned out so make sure ur ds is dry so wait about a week or two then look on ebay or call nintendo 1-800-255-3700 and ask for a nintendo ds or ds lite battery whichever u have im not sure how much it would be at nintendo but its like 5$ on ebay and make sure it looks like ur broken battery because some are different.

I did the same thing to a cordless phone.

Filled a container with methylated spirits and dropped the phone into it.The meths displaces the water and then evaporates away leaving a dry electronics internally.
May work for the DS ,what have you got to lose if it doesn't work now?
