How do I fix my Hotpoint EW81 Halogen Double Oven?

The top oven on my oven has stopped working after a whuring noice and a bit of a bang. I have taken the back off and found a burnt out light bulb and socket at the back of the top oven.The code on this light socket is 27250 or 79.210
Could replacing this cure the problem?
