Treadmill Incline voice?

My treadmill incline motor is as noisy as airplane taking off. It covers the sound of my TV. The Sears sales said it is normal because of the echo from the walls of my house. Are you happy with this answer? Is there anything I can do to reduce the motor voice?

The incline should make a normal humming noise. I agree with you that it shouldn't be so loud that it drowns out the television. Under the motorhood there is usually a set of calibration instructions. If not, I would call the manufacturer and ask to be run through calibration. That usually fixes the problem without having to replace the incline motor. Incline motors are super sensitive and 9 times out of 10 just need to be reset which calibration does.
