How to remove upvc window handle when locked without key?

I have a window that comes into the house on external hinges. it is locked with no key to open it. i know how to remove the handle when the it is unlocked but don`t know how to unlock it to remove. Please can you help.

keep rocking back and forth and after about 100 times the little steel pin that locks it should shear off and you can open it without a key
