i have undone the wires of my old two way socket to put a threeway socket on......but now dont no witch way the wires go?? i no wich one is my live but just dont no how to wire it up .......
please help..

What is a three way light switch socket?

Is it a light fitting with three lamp holders?

Is it a light switch with three terminals for the wires?

Is it a wall box with three switches in it?

How many wires do you have?

Where are they in the ceiling or at the wall switch?

What colours (colors) are the wires?

Which country are you in?

If you're talking about changing a light switch in the wall where the old switch had just 2 terminals and your new switch has 3 terminals marked Com, L1, L2...

Put the live wire in Com and the other wire in either L1 or L2 - it really doesn't matter as long as one of the wires is in the Common (Com) terminal.
