Hi friends of cold beer,

my diplomat freezer started to beep yesterday. After taking some stuff out of the freezer - basically drinking a couple of beers and barbecueing a couple of sausages - nothing changed. I turned the freezer off for 5 mins, I took all the drawers and goods out for a bit and had it run empty - still no change.

Then I tried the super cooling button (called something like that). This got the actual beeping to stop, but the alram light is still flashing! So basically when I turn the super cooling button off, the beeping is there again!

What can I do, to make both, beeping and flashing of the alarm light disappear?

Looking forward to some good hints...

This happened to me. In the end it defrosted.Had to change pcb,which is really easy to do. A fitter did it 4 years ago,I did it 2 weeks ago but it costs £62 with postage from Whitegoods.Take off plastic cover, top front of freezer (turn front feet down to get freezer out!) undo 2 connecters,slip thermo-control out, slide old pcb out, slide new one in reconnect! Simple! Make sure the power is switched off first lol. Oh yeh! the new pcb looks different to old one but works fine.

Exactly the same has happened to mine and it looks as though if I don't put the fast freeze option on things are starting to defrost..!

Hopefully someone out there will have the answer.
