When we turn the heating off the boiler will not fire for hot water. turn the heating back on and water comes on. we have 2x2 motorised valves

how do i light the pilot light

you have a faulty hw zone valve.
you'll need to do some checks with a multi meter.

either the micro switch is faulty or the valve has jammed open.
