abs seems to come on when braking lightly
also gear lever rattles does it need ney bushes ?

The abs problem is most likely caused by a cracked or badly rusted reluctor ring, usually a front one.
Gear lever rattle could be bushes or loose or failing engine/gearbox mounts.
