How can I burp the cooling system 2001 ford focus?

I recently changed the upper radiator hose omn my 2001 ford focus 2.0 sohc. I have a hot upper hose and a cool lower hose. Ibelieve that I have a air pocket in the cooling system. How do I get it out?

remove expansion cap, squeeze the bottom hose pipe several times.
top up expansion bottle if neccessary replace cap.
