My Ka has spongy brakes?

I have a Ka 04 and the brakes appear spongy. They do stop me but I would like to know how I may fix this myself. Some-one said I need a special tool for this job. Does any-one know?

You need to check front pads & discs. Need to strip out pads, replace & grease them back up (using copper grease). May be seized up within carriers.
