crafrsman gas chain saw?

I bought a 18 inch chain saw 2.6cu. in.2 cycle model 358.350280 5 years ago and never used it til yesterday. I fill it with fuel, primed the carb and it ran for 10 secs. I primed it again and fuel started pouring out. I took the covers off and the primer bulb and the hoses were detrioated. There is two size hoses. The larger goes from the tank to the prime bulb. The other side of the prime bulb is a smaller hose. There are two ports on the carb, one close to the accelerator lever and the other closes to the idle adjustment. There is another small hose hole in the tank but I don't know where it goes. Is the small hose in the tank supposed to go to the bottom of the tank?

Only speaking generally......the larger pipe comes from the bottom of the tank, where it picks up fuel via a filter in the end. The smaller pipe returns unused fuel back to the tank, and it doesn't need to go near the bottom.
