i've got a potterton puma 80 e boiler that does not light up when the hot tap or the heating goes on. the pilot ligth is constantly on but there is no fire from the main burner. i presume it could be a gas distrbution problem from the valve where it is monitored from. am i right or wrong

check the gas control knob that sticks through the panel is set to flame and not spark. Check to see if fan starts and then pump. This boiler has a common fault with the top left of main pcb. The input live/neutral and earth often arc on the metal casing. back of pcb.
