how do i fix sky box ?

we had a thunder storm and ilost the sginal on my sky box that is now back but i cant get to record or sky planner to work why

Try and do an update, turn the box off on the wall, press and hold Back Up on you Sky box and while holding it switch the box back on and wait for the black screen, if this doesnt work your box is knackered
