mine does that too and i don't know why, in fact i do know why but it isn't possible to be that way that i think
i droped it only once .. nothing happened, worked fine
i used to listen to music going to sleep. did that for couple of times until a morning when my tangent audio mp3 player wasn't able to stay on more than one second. i thought it was the battery which got absorbed (after 7 hours)
i change it and the same. my bed is soft i didn't brake anything in it and i know that because i cracked it and i saw everything is allright in there. in fact i don't know that .. but looks fine, i looked carefully
one i made it play for 10 min holding a finger on the chips, now it isn't working that way either .. now it only goes on and then .. directly off and then on again and off i take the battery out
my computer is recognizing it and i tryed to format it but nothing .. does the same
on howtomendit.com i read something about 'reset a mp3 player' is there any possibility to do that ?
