My Hotpoint First Edition 1200 WM53 was working fine, but today when I turned it on the water keeps going straight out the waste pipe. Also can you tell me where the filter is located so I can clean it as I think this might be the cause of the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

hotpoints have a built in fillter, located when you remove bottom panel at rear it is inside the black rubber hose attached to main drum and goes to pump, the reason the water goes in and straight out might be that the outlet pipe is to low it must be above the water line.
