How to fix faulty headphones laptop socket?

The headphones socket on my laptop is faulty and any of the earphones I plug in, the music sound is 'tinny' and you can't hear the voice and the music is all over the place. It's with every song and it used to be if you just twisted and pushed it in a bit into the socket it would start working. But it's completely not working now, how would I fix it?

laptops are very deleget things, So don't risk it, If not electronic minded, Take to repairer & get new socket fitted. $30 to maybe $50.00. Cheaper than shorting it out with faulty socket.
