How to replace the drum bearing in a Zanussi washing machine?

The drum bearing is very warn in my Zanussi, is it worth getting it repaired on the grounds of cost, can I do it myself, or should I throw the thing away and start again?

big job.whole drum out.some models can't have bearings fitted as they are welded together and you have to buy the whole inside/tub
