Hotpoint Combination Fridge-Freezer 8553 Build Up Of Ice UNDERNEATH Freezer?

I have a Hotpoint Combination Vertical Fridge - Freezer unit 8553, with the freezer at the bottom.
Both the fridge and the freezer are working OK (Checked with thermocouple and meter), however there is a significan build-up of ice UNDERNEATH and OUTSIDE the bottom of the cabinet which is continually melting and creating a puddle underneath. There are no signs of a leak of moisture from either the fridge door or the freezer door. This has persisted for over two years.
Any ideas???

Can't help with a solution but I have exactly the same problem with the same make and model of fridge freezer.

I suffered the same problem, with the same model, the ice built up underneath to a thickness of over an inch from the seal of the freezer door back to a depth of 8 inches approx. Inspecting a similar one I relaised the foil insulation on the base of mine had deteriorated over time to such an extent that very little of it was left. As a corrective measure I lagged it with foil bubble insulation, a piece of which I obtained from work. I taped it on with foil tape. Problem solved, hope this is helpful, assuming the same problem

Sounds to me as if the door seals are failing, basically the humid air outside of the freezer is bieng frozen inside the fridge.
