When hot tap turned on boiler does not ignite for about 15 seconds then fires causing a whoomp service engineer is going to replace spark generator boiler locks out and shows flame failure go to reset and the boiler ignites any suggestions
try to adjust the air amount which controlled by the servo motor and also check the gas regulator( or solllar pump)

boiler now ok did not work when engineer fitted spark generator we rang baxi and they have changed wiring on it brown is now blue and blue now brown boiler came on first time cost me £120 many thank every one

firstly check the spark gap, the distance between the electrode and the burner should be about the same as the width as a pound coin as a general rule of thumb. also check the gas ignition pressure, if it's too high or too low then it can cause a similar problem.

Has he actually diagnosed the spark gen or is he guessing? I would have a) service boiler, b) checked ignition electrode and lead before coming to spark gen conclusion, however he may well be right!
