my dishwasher keeps bleeping when i close the door and will not work any know whats wrong

keep the button with the diamond shape with the line down the middle pressed down for 3- 4 seconds and the green light will go off
The bleeping means it's locked
My 9 year old worked it out for us as ours did the same today!
