boiler problems?

we have just bought a house with olympic boiler when swithing on the hot water or heating the boiler only runs for two mins and then turns of so no hot water or heating cant afford to replace so can yoyu help

sounds like a circulation problem, first thing to check is the pump. best to get a qualified engineer to take a look.
