JD MOWER STALLS AFTER HOUR OF USE?

MY RIDING MOWER, L 160 HAS BEEN STALLING ON ME AFTER AN HOUR OR SO OF USE...IT WILL COUGH, STALL AND WILL NOT START AGAIN UNTIL THE ENGINE HAS COOLED, THEN IT RUNS FINE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND STALLS AGAIN...I HAVE REPLACED ALL FILTERS, GAS, OIL, BATTERY...AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS...ANY IDEAS
