how can i fix my alarm (veritas r8)?

whilst trying to remove my sensor from one room to another, I opened the face coverof the sensor, took out the six wires from the terminals, moved the sensor then re-entered the six wires into the same terminals, whilst doing this the wires touched together, I have been told that I have short circuited them. The alarm key pad now just keeps showing unset, I also ended up having to change the sensor as I damaged the spring on the top left hand corner of the sensor. Can somebody now tell me how do I get this alarm system back in working order. Somebody mentioned that I need to change the clear fuse in the main alarm control panel is that correct, do I also need to re-programme this, if yes how do I do that. I would appreciate a reply.
