Washer does not agitate - it appears the circular part in the center is stripped. Nothing seems to wrong the electrical aspect. I can turn it completely around with my hand, it may attempt to stabilize but does not become fixed. I would like to know how to repair this problem.

By the circular part I am assuming you mean the agitator. Its possible your agitator clutch dogs are stripped. Remove the upper half of the agitator by removing the soap dispenser and then a cap. After that you should see a bolt for the agitator just remove it and the upper part of the agitator and the 4 dogs are underneath. If the bottom part of the agitator still goes back and forth during agitate, the dogs are more than likly your problem. Hope this helps.
