I have experienced an issue when first switching the machine on, to start a load, where all of the red lights flash for approx 10-20 seconds before allowing the programme to be started... this has now changed and the red lights constantly flash and I'm not sure when / if they will allow the programme to be started

I had the same problem I fixed it by leaving the machine switched on ! Now it only flashes when first starting to wash and when it does the final spin. According to Hotpoint it needs an engineer if I could afford one he would be here....
