I have a 1997 renault megane 1.6 coupe.I recently broke down after driving with my fuel light on,i put fuel in but the car would not start so i called out the rac.he tested the pump,fuses & relay and told me the fuel pump relay was not working & to get a new one i did this & the car started up but only got as far as the end of my road.I am driving my car with two pieces of wire pushed in the slots where the relay fits & it works great.can anyone shed light on this problem?
