Linda, I love cuckoo clocks but they have inherently short times between service. They have holes in the bottom to allow for the changes and pendulum and one at the top for the bird, this allows dirt to enter into the case. So, cuckoo clocks need service much more frequently than others. Yours probably needs cleaning and depending on the age, they may need bushings. I would contact a good clock repairman in your area for this. Make sure he is well experienced in cuckoo clocks. They are one of more difficult clocks to repair.
