I recently purchased a spray cleaner for my new ceramic hob from a hotpoint engineer. I sprayed hob and left for several hours as suggested. Unfortunately my son came home and turned on one of the plates before I had a chance to wipe cleaner off and it has left a white/silver cloudy/speckly effect - can it be rescued? no cleaning seems to help!

use a plastic type scouring pad and use hob cleaner and use small circular motions with reasonable force.hopefully this will shift it.scourers attached to a sponge are ideal for this job
