Why does Windows XP not stay alive?

I leave my computer on all the time. When it goes into Standby it sometimes won't wake up. It has only just started to do this. What can I do?

Check the settings in Power management. (under control panel)

If you can't find it in there, look in your bios, under power management or similar there will be an option for standby and power modes. - if you don't know what to set it to, restore factory defaults.
