how can i fix my hotpoint wma63 ultima extra power stream washing machine?

when i turn washing machine on, it keeps bleeping and the lock light keeps flashing, what can be wrong?

I am having exactly the same problem with mine. I have been told it could be the motor which may need replacing although there is a wire attached that is very loose. Hopefully it is just that as a new motor is around £115!
