have i got a problem with my gearbox fiat marea weekend?

I've got a 1.6 fiat marea weekend automatic.It's very slow to pull away.I was wondering if it's a problem with the gearbox,maybe the transmission fluid need changing?

This is a very reliable transmission. If it is sluggish does it feel like a high gear? If in limp mode, it should get three out of four gears manually.
