How can I fix my door handle on my UPVC door?

I came in tonight and shut my front door but when I went to leave a few hours later and pushed the door handle down to let me it it was loose, the sprung closing mechanism has come loose and is now in the closed postion between the door and door frame and I cant open my door now, this has nothing to do with the lock but the door handle and closing mechanism.
