Candy ECO 1001 does not heat water ?

Hi,

My Candy ECO 1001 doesn't seem to be heating up its water anymore. It works ok, just everything comes out stone cold.

Is there a heater element I can fix? I read something somewhere else about checking for continuity - does this mean checking terminals are connected.... and would this require soldering ?

Many thanks!! :)

No, you misunderstand. "Checking continuity" means checking there is no broken wire, or "open circuit" to put it another way. Buy yourself a cheap multimeter, read the instructions, then check the resistance of the heater at the terminals. On 1 x ohm scale it should read around 25 to 28 ohms. Make sure you unplug the washer first!
