brother px 220 foot pedal repair?

my brother px-220 machine works at full speed all the time whenever there is mains power. Could anyone help me how to mend it?

Hello Tomtom,
You need to undo the foot control and take out the suppressor that is attached to the two terminals, you don't need it these days.
