how can i fix my hotpoint df23p dishwasher?

My dishwasher keeps stopping mid cycle, what causes this problem and how can it be fixed?

i have the same problem with my df23. hotpoint told me to reset the programmer, (they would not tell me how to do it) which costs 90 quid, if u find a way could u let me know as i haven't worked it out yet.
