battery light?

i have a vauxhall cavaler 2.0 i need help finding why my battery light stays on when i have took my key out of the egnition barrel.My electric windows work and the small lights stay on ive cheqed the battery and cheqed the egnition barrel swich and most of the earths on the car to. iv hade the inside light of in the car and when i flick the swiches about the battery light fades and the engin manigment light comes on and the hand brake light but they are realy fade and im getting fed up with it and also i think the remote and a earth is shorting out some ware so i realy need to sort it out because im having to take the battery wire off all the time so if some 1 knows what it might be a would be greatfull if i could hear back from u thanks...

Check neg battery cable at battery and there should be a ground on side of the cable that connects to the battery box
if this conection is corroded or loose or gone it can cause this problem....I had same problem and replace ecm ect
I was working at dealership at the time and had to take off the parts I had replaced that tech line had told me to replace
