Main input connection brokeen off?

Hiya i have a cable box its a starview not a satellite. Over time the main input connection on the back of the box has completly broken off, Is their any way of salvaging the box? All i can see where the connection used to be to be. I will include links to pictures of what it looks like now and where it was connected to on the inside of the box. (cant get a really clear image though)

hiya mick thanks for the answer, Hoever my da (who would be used to soldeering) had a look and thinks theres too much damage as the live wire (i presume he means) is too far in or something. The main thing i want to know is it possible to fix by even a tech guy. And would it be an expensive job?

take a look at maplins wib , site for ( F connector chassis socket) order number (Fe98G) it should fit into the hole at the back of the starview, its held in with a lock nut , and the pin comming out if the back of it should reach the live on the starview out put , with the help of a solder iron , its worth a try , have it unpluged when your working on it ,,,,,,,,
